The highlight of every visit is certainly the guided tours through the three large show caves, which are very different in character and can be easily reached on foot or with the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car in just a few minutes.

The Dachstein Giant Ice Cave fascinates visitors with its bizarre ice sculptures, which have been effectively staged by numerous artistic installations. Accompanied by experienced cave guides, you pass the "Artusdom" to the "Gralsburg" and the "Parzivaldom".

The Mammut Cave, also easily accessible by cable car, is particularly fascinating due to its size. During the guided tours, you can learn all about the history of the formation and exploration of the almost 70-kilometer-long labyrinths and huge cathedrals. Light and shadow shows as well as a laser installation also provide variety here!

In the valley, near the Koppenwinkel natural jewel, you will find the Koppenbrüllerhöhle - a still active cave that is particularly fascinating due to its rushing cave stream. Numerous myths and legends surround the raging water and the cave and are brought back to life during the guided tours.

After all these adventures during the day, the summit of the Krippenstein beckons with completely different highlights - namely sunny hiking trails and spectacular viewing platforms. There is barrier-free access to the World Heritage View, from where you have a magnificent view of the Hohe Dachstein. Just a few minutes away, the famous "5fingers " tower vertiginously over a 400-metre deep abyss and offer a fantastic view of Hallstatt and the Inner Salzkammergut. Those who are not completely free from giddiness will prefer to enjoy the panorama from the World Heritage Spiral. Here you can relax on loungers and find out about other World Heritage sites and the surrounding peaks.

Nature lovers can of course also explore one of the adventure hiking trails on the Dachstein or climb the surrounding mountains on their own. *The "Heilbronner Rundwanderweg" (Heilbronn circular hiking trail) provides interesting facts about fauna, flora and geology on numerous information boards and invites you to enjoy, marvel and explore at your leisure. One of the highlights of the Heilbronn circular hiking trail is the 8-metre-long Dachstein shark. Visitors can climb up a ladder to look out of the mouth of the Dachstein shark, which not only offers a fantastic view, but is also a popular photo point.

The Dachstein World Heritage ticket is ideal for such a foray through the region. In addition to the cable car ride, it includes a guided tour of the ice cave and a boat trip across Lake Hallstättersee, where you can round off the day in style.
