The Dachstein Glacier - an unforgettable destination!

In addition to the breathtaking view, the fantastic ambience on the glacier offers you many attractions that will make your excursion unforgettable. When you arrive at the mountain station, the path leads directly to the Sky Walk. The suspension bridge takes you directly to the staircase to nowhere, which provides a thrill at dizzy heights. At the end of the suspension bridge is the entrance to the Dachstein Ice Palace. Various sculptures from the past carved into the ice await you here.

Depending on snow conditions, up to 15 km of perfectly groomed glacier trails await you at up to 2,700 m above sea level, surrounded by impressive mountain scenery.
Here, where the world's elite train in autumn, you too can do your laps on classic and skating trails up to 1.5 km long. From autumn to spring, the trails on the Dachstein Glacier offer optimal conditions for an unforgettable cross-country skiing experience.

Skiing is no longer permitted on the Dachstein Glacier.

Under the theme "Explore the Glacier," an exciting journey awaits you in the Ice Palace on the Dachstein Glacier.
A special natural gem and also a symbol of the importance of environmental protection and sustainable tourism. In the new exhibition, which was designed in collaboration with La Strada Graz and the Universalmuseum Joanneum Graz, you can follow in the footsteps of Alpine explorer Friedrich Simony and join him in exploring the many facets of the glacier.
