Welcome to St. Gerold!
The cultural center of the biosphere park.
The settlement history of the valley began here about 1000 years ago with the hermit Gerold. The main attraction is the widely known cultural program of the Provostry of St. Gerold.

In the midst of meadows and forests, mountains and rushing brooks, the Propstei St. Gerold, which belongs to the monastery of Einsiedeln, wants to be an antipole to the hectic pace of the times in which we live.
The intact surroundings, the special atmosphere and charisma, peace and tranquility, invite you to inner contemplation, but also to fellowship with other guests. Common meals, cultural events and seminars create space and openness to meet people of different backgrounds and mindsets.
