At the entrance to Valais, the majestic Dents-du-Midi mountain range and its region, which stretches between the mouth of the Rhone into Lake Geneva and the Portes du Soleil, welcome you. Welcome to the Portes du Soleil - Chablais region and its 14 Lower Valais villages and communes.

The mountain resorts (Champéry, Morgins, Val-d'Illiez-Les Crosets-Champoussin and Torgon) are linked to the international holiday area of the Portes du Soleil, a well-known winter and summer sports area, half on Swiss and half on French territory, almost a "place of pilgrimage" in summer for numerous mountain bikers, horse riders and hikers and in winter for skiers/snowboarders with 650 km of ski slopes (and only 1 ski pass!), snowshoe and winter hikers.

In addition to the numerous sporting opportunities, the Chablais plain also offers many entertaining activities for children and families; the region is home to various adventure and theme parks. Culture lovers can meet in the historic town of St-Maurice or at the theatre - and for shopping - in Monthey, while Le Bouveret and St-Gingolph invite you to enjoy a swim, a cruise and fish specialities from the lake.
