The large swimming pond, the scenic Salza river, the idyllic Enns Cycle Path and the many charming hilltops provide the backdrop for this nature park community. In the district of Großreifling, you’ll find the Silvanum Forestry Museum, where you can gain a completely new insight into woodworking through the centuries. The Hieflau Charcoal Burner Centre and the Gams Geovillage are by no means stuffy either. Here, it’s all about geology. Virtually every attraction has ‘Geo’ in its name. The programme includes the GeoCentre, GeoPath, GeoWorkshop, GeoBike and GeoRafting.

Become a cave explorer for a day. This is possible in the unique Kraushöhle cave, accessed via the Nothklamm, a 700-metre-long climbing route where you almost seem to float above the Gamsbach gorge. Not to be forgotten is the district of Palfau with its impressive Wasserlochklamm gorge, featuring five lively waterfalls. You have to give the tranquil village of Landl credit for one thing – it is in an excellent strategic location. If you choose this as your starting point, you can either jump into the Salza armed with a paddle or set off on a hike with walking sticks, or in winter with snowshoes, up one of the three massive mountain ranges.
