Stanzach – the idyllic village in the Lech floodplains

The municipality of Stanzach is situated at an altitude of 940 metres at the entrance to the Namlos Valley, nestled in the idyllic floodplain landscape of the unspoilt River Lech. An ideal starting point for hikes and mountain tours between the Lechtal and Allgäu Alps, this sunny village combines authenticity, a close connection to nature and warm hospitality.

Sports enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy in Stanzach. Whether fishing, skiing, beach volleyball, football or target shooting – there is something to do all year round. In winter, the family-friendly Stanzach ski lifts, featuring a drag lift, snowmaking facilities, ski school and night skiing, provide plenty of fun on the slopes.

A particular highlight is the Almdorf Fallerschein – the largest alpine hut village in Tyrol. Its traditional wooden huts, lush alpine meadows and cosy mountain inns make it one of the region's most beautiful excursion destinations.

Village life also plays an important role in Stanzach. Traditional village festivals, open-air concerts by the local brass band and numerous social events invite visitors to experience the village's living traditions and warm community spirit.
