Gries am Brenner

The location of the municipality of Gries directly at the entrance to the Obernbergtal offers all holidaymakers a central starting point to the natural paradise in the mountain valleys of the Wipptal.

For hiking and mountain enthusiasts, there are several "highlights" in the immediate vicinity - such as the Kraxentrager, which offers a fantastic view of North and South Tyrol, and the Landshuter Europahütte. (E-)Bikers know the Sattelbergalm with the Grenzkammrunde and the new single trail into the Obernbergtal. For those who want to quench their thirst for knowledge, there is a newly prepared theme trail in the Nösslach landscape conservation area at the Nösslachhütte, which provides information on all aspects of mining. It is also possible to take the mountain railway from Steinach to the Nösslachjoch and hike back to Gries via Nösslach.
