Carmagnola

About 30 kilometres from Turin lies Carmagnola. Long under the patronage of the Marquises of Saluzzo and the Savoy, it grew into a very important agricultural centre thanks to pepper cultivation - celebrated annually with the National Pepper Fair - and processing.

Also interesting is the historic centre and the vibrant business centre with the old 13th century castle, now the seat of the municipality, the 14th century church of Sant'Agostino and magnificent buildings such as Palazzo Lomellini, Casa Cavassa and Casa delle Meridiane. The Municipal Museum of Natural History, the Synagogue and the Municipal Naval Museum complete the cultural offer.
