Probably the most famous village in the entire valley, Canazei is not only known for its colourfully painted houses - just like in fairy tales - but also for its exciting nightlife.
Canazei is an alpine centre that is particularly popular for its sporting events. Among the most famous are the Sellaronda ski marathon and the night-time Dolomites Alpine skiing competition in winter, as well as the Dolomites Skyrace, an international mountain running competition, in summer.
