Ski tour Muttjöchle (2,074 m)

The ascent leads from the Kristbergbahn mountain station to the middle of the practice lift. The ascent continues on the ski slope heading west and then southwest. The first destination is the Riedkopf drag lift mountain station. The path now goes slightly left (southwest) over a flat mountain ridge to the summit. The descent goes northeast (about 200 vertical meters) through a hollow to a plateau. From here, a short ascent leads to the mountain station of the drag lift. Now you can ski down the slope back to the starting point. (You can also take the return route via the ascent track.) 

Ski touring equipment, skins, if necessary crampons, ski poles, ski helmet, avalanche equipment with transceiver, avalanche probe and shovel, ski touring backpack (approx. 30 liters) with avalanche airbag and rain cover, ski touring boots, ski socks, warm and durable clothing in layers, ski touring jacket and pants, light gloves for the ascent, warm gloves for the descent, hat/headband, if necessary ski goggles, sun and rain protection, provisions and drinking water, thermos with hot drink, first aid kit, pocketknife, mobile phone, headlamp and reflectors, maps, bivy sack and rescue blanket

Coming from Bludenz, take the Bludenz/Montafon motorway exit and follow the L188 into the Montafon to Schruns. Then continue via Silbertalerstraße to Silbertal.

Just leave your car standing

The regional buses of the Montafonerbahn operate throughout the Montafon. The main lines run every hour from Schruns station.

From Schruns station you reach Silbertal with bus line 680. The stop is: "Kristbergbahn"

For the return journey

You can return from Silbertal to Schruns station with bus line 680.

Arrival by train

From Bludenz station, the Montafonerbahn runs hourly (partly half-hourly). There are also direct connections from Lindau (D) and Bregenz.

Parking is available at the Kristbergbahn. (free of charge in winter)
