Hintere Fundusalm - Umhausen

From the Mure car park in the village center of Umhausen, the route leads leisurely through the Neudorf district. After crossing the Fundus bridge, follow the wide forest road to the Fundustal (left) and Leierstal (right) crossroads. From there, follow the path to the left towards Fundustal, past the Vorderer Fundusalm (not managed) and then on to the Hintere Fundusalm. Those who wish can also visit the beautiful Fundus lake or continue hiking to the Frischmann hut via the Köfler Waalweg.

Appropriate equipment such as breathable and weather-appropriate outdoor clothing, ankle-high hiking boots, wind, rain, and sun protection, a hat, and possibly gloves is required for all hikes and routes. It is necessary to carry a first aid kit, a mobile phone, and possibly a hiking map, as well as sufficient provisions for hikes without any dining options.

Driving to ÖTZTAL. Located in Tyrol, the Ötztal branches off to the south as the longest side valley of the Eastern Alps. Traveling by car takes visitors via the Inn Valley to the entrance of the valley and then along the Ötztal. Besides the toll motorway, country roads can also be used. Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal railway station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can conveniently and quickly travel through the entire valley to your desired destination using public transport or local taxi companies!
