After a few kilometers from Agliè, you encounter the municipality of Castellamonte, renowned worldwide for its ceramic tradition. Especially famous for the production of stoves that are true works of art. The Valchiusella is an ideal destination for those seeking authentic rural tourism in low mountain environments. You pass through quiet villages on roads with low vehicle traffic, each with its own characteristics; examples include the unique architecture of Rueglio, exemplified by the classic “Ka d'Mesanis”, a 15th-century building now turned into a 'house museum', the Mining Museum in Traversella, or the characteristic Vutun of Vico Canavese. For the last part of the route, you pedal along the Dora Baltea Valley, which for centuries has been an important communication route between Piedmont and the Aosta Valley. Its terraced vineyards and alpine landscape make it a fascinating stretch for nature and food and wine lovers. In Carema, the Carema DOC wine is produced, one of Piedmont's most prized red wines, produced exclusively in this municipality. It is a wine that tells us an ancient and profound story, closely linked to the land and local wine-making tradition.

TIRES: Check that the wheels are properly inflated; the importance of tire pressure is often underestimated as it increases safety and makes pedaling smoother
LIGHTS: If you plan to ride at dusk or at night, make sure you have front and rear lights, as well as reflectors.
CLOTHING: Clothing with bright or reflective colors is recommended to be more visible to other vehicles.
EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT: Carry a spare inner tube, a pump (or a CO2 cartridge), and tire levers for removing the tire. A small tool kit can be useful.
TRAFFIC RULES: Follow the road signs, always ride on the right edge of the lane, and signal your intentions to other road users.
