The panoramic road leading to the Stelvio/Stilfserjoch Pass in the Ortles mountain group was constructed in 1825 and is still the highest pass road in Italy (2757m), as well as one of the most spectacular roads in the world.

The panoramic pass road starting from Trafoi in the Stelvio National Park – Italy’s largest nature reserve - is a true challenge for cyclists and bikers. It is one of the most winding, most challenging routes in the world, and is also one of the stages of the "Giro d'Italia".
