Haus Schmitten is perfectly located to explore the world-class ski resorts of Kitzsteinhorn and Schmittenhöhe.

Haus Schmitten is located in a quiet street, only a few minutes’ walk (700 m) to the valley station of the AreitXpress where Ski shop & ski rental, ski school and fantastic aprés ski is located. The Areitbahn Gondola will whisk you up the mountain to the panoramic pistes of Schmittenhöhe. The 3K K-onnection at the Kaprun Centre, is your gateway to the Maiskogel and Kitzsteinhorn Resorts and is only a 10-minute drive away.

No car-no problem. The free ski bus stop is 200m from your doorstep.

Haus Schmitten offers accommodation to suit all travellers (from 2-8 people) – great for families, couples, friends and groups. The four holiday apartments (Three 1 Bedroom apartments and a Two-Bedroom Apartment ) are comfortably furnished complete with fully equipped kitchens and balcony or terrace.

Haus Schmitten is conveniently located to access all the summer adventures of Zell am See and Kaprun. Mountains, lakes, rivers, pristine nature and cozy villages – a piece of paradise ready to be discovered.
Summer is magical in Zell am See/Kaprun.
Spend your days enjoying the mountain vistas on a hike stopping for lunch at one of the many traditional mountain Alms. The region is a popular spot for bike riding through the countryside or for the more adventurous; there is a number of exhilarating mountain bike trails.
The Kitzsteinhorn Glacier at 3,203m is the highest mountain in Salzburger Land and home to the Gipfelwelt 3000, the National Park Gallery and the Top of Salzburg Skywalk.
The Schmittenhöhe mountain provides a bird’s eye view of the glistening Lake Zell and in the distance up to thirty 3,000m mountains including the Kitzsteinhorn, Groβglockner and Groβvenediger and the Steinernes Meer.

Lake Zell is a perfect spot to enjoy sailing and water sports. Sigmund Thun-Gorge, Kaprun High Mountain Reservoirs, Krimml Waterfalls (Europe’s highest waterfall) and the High Alpine Grossglockner Mountain Road are only a short journey from Haus Schmitten.

Arrivals: We live off-site, so we will organise to meet and give you the keys

Refundable Security Deposit
In cash. The security deposit will be refunded in full, in cash, after the property has been checked and no damage is found and the keys returned
