Bergsee Hallstättersee

The Lake Hallstatt extends over a length of 8.2 kilometers over the three villages Obertraun, Hallstatt and Bad Goisern.

Across the entire eastern shore of the lake, the Ostuferwanderweg stretches directly on the waterfront, from which numerous quiet places invite you for chilling and swimming. On the Ostuferwanderweg you also pass a suspension bridge, which is located above the deepest point of Lake Hallstatt: 125 meters!

The Lake Hallstatt (in German Hallstättersee) has 4 free bathing beaches to offer, where you also get refreshments and snacks. The bathing beaches are in Untersee (Bad Goisern), Gosaumühle (Bad Goisern in direction Hallstatt), Hallstatt (In the End of Hallstatt on the way to Obertraun) and in Obertraun (near the trainstation). In Obertraun there is a private beach for your favorite four-legged friends. The Hallstättersee is also the only large bathing lake in the entire Salzkammergut, which is accessible free of charge from all sides.

But that's not all! In addition, there are 2 public * nude beach baths * available, where you can enjoy the sun and rest also naked. The bathing areas are located in the immediate vicinity of the public beach baths Obertraun and Bad Goisern. So you can always take care of the snacks.

In addition to the bathing pleasure concerts in the summer are held on the lake stage (Obertraun) and from the typical "loads" blowers sound to the shore. Is there a better end to a wonderful summer day than a concert right on the lake ?!
