Where does the curiosity come from?
To make it short: According to a fictional legend, three brothers once lived in the Allgäu - a woodcutter, an alpine herderman and a poacher. Full of curiosity about distant cultures, the three were drawn out into the big wide world, but not together, because each dreamed of a different, faraway place. Still attached to the Allgäu in their hearts, many years later they returned to their homeland with their impressions, all kinds of odds and ends and a few animal companions - and found each other again.

Inspired by this wondrous and beautiful idea, the KUKU Berghotel was created at an altitude of 1,150 m on the Grünten: a cultish and curious place with a lot of love for detail, the connection to the Allgäu nature and a big pinch of frippery.
